How to hydrate smart, sustainably and safely – the Ayurvedic way

Hydrating with copper vessels is a natural healing remedy that has been around for centuries and firmly practiced in traditional Ayurveda. Copper vessels are more than just a hydration companion. Ayurveda states that tamra jal – the practice of drinking copper-infused water – brings your physical, physiological and psychological states in to harmony. Copper vessels are healthy for you and the environment.

Here’s a quick guide to ensure you safely embark on this journey with copper-infused water:

1. Ensure that your vessels are made of pure copper only for maximum health benefits – no nasties or mixed metal compositions

2. Follow the Getting Started guide on how to clean the vessel before the first use

3. Fill up the vessel with room temperature water (tap, filtered or bottled) and store it for 5 – 8 hours (maximum). This allows the copper oxidisation process to take place in full effect wherein the copper ions begin to positively charge water, purifying it and releasing natural healing properties such as anti-oxidants, anti-bacterial etc.

4. Storing water for less than 5 hours is less effective.

5. Drink the copper-infused water first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. This strengthens the digestive system, improves metabolism and helps to detox your body.

Rinse, refill, repeat!

Important to Note!
